These Healthier Alternatives to Greasy Fries are the Perfect Sides
I LOVE fries! Their crunchy goodness makes for the perfect side for many meals. They are usually quick and easy to make and can be dipped in a variety of yummy sauces. Sadly, they tend to be pretty unhealthy. Lately I’ve been on a quest to discover some fries that are healthy, tasty, and can be dipped in awesome sauces. Just baking the potato strips instead of frying them can really cut down on the calories, but there are also some great recipes below that don’t even use potatoes! Check them out and let me know which are your favorites in the comments.
Baked and Grilled Healthy Fries Recipes
Paprika Parsnip Fries – It doesn’t get much healthier than this. Parsnips are easy to grow (find out how) and are high in fiber and potassium. The addition of paprika also has many great health benefits.
Zucchini Fries – I always end up with extra zucchini in my garden and struggle to find good recipes. This one will find its place in my regular meal plan.

Tofu Fries – I don’t usually like tofu, but these are surprisingly good
Baked Curry Fries – Mmmmm, curry…
Parmesan Green Been Fries – Another veggie that I tend to get a lot of. Parmesan and green beans are a great combo.
Weight-Watchers Zucchini Fries – Only 2 points!
Baked Asparagus Fries with Garlic Aioli – This Aioli is the perfect addition to these fries. So good.
icy Sweet Potato Fries On the Grill – Any time I grill I like to throw a few veggies on the grill. The perfect side for hamburgers

Extra Healthy Sweet Potato Fries
Baked Pickle Dippers – Not sure if I’ll actually try these but they do look good.
Baked Onion Rings – Not really a fry alternative but I’m a sucker for a good onion ring
The rest of these may not be as healthy, but boy are they delicious desserts!
